Advanced Dental Technology Wayne
Innovative, Efficient, and State-of-the-Art Dental Care
At Main Line Dental Group, our dentists in Wayne remain committed to staying up to date on the latest changes in the world of dentistry and technology. When visiting our office, it’s evident that we take this seriously, as we have some of the latest, most innovative solutions available. From an in-house dental lab and digital impressions to a soft tissue laser, a cavity detection system, and more, we further the patient experience so that positive results are achieved every time.
Custom, In-House Dental Lab
When a customized restoration is required (i.e., a dental crown, veneers, dental bridge, etc.), we don’t need to wait around for an outside lab to take care of the fabrication process. Instead, we can reduce patient wait times by creating them ourselves with our customized in-house dental lab.
Our lab technologist is an expert in creating various restorations – something that is rarely found anywhere else. Combining classic craftsmanship with state-of-the-art computer design, our in-house milling unit can quickly produce natural-looking, precise, and fully functional restorations in less time.
Main Line Dental Group is the only practice in the area with this type of technology, meaning we can:
- Place same-day dental implants
- Use Zirkonzahn® software and a specialized milling unit to create each restoration
- Work with CEREC technology to create custom dental crowns in a single appointment
- Eliminate the need for patients to endure multiple visits
Digital Impressions
When restorative dental work is required, a digital impression of your smile can be captured without the use of cold dental putty. We use a handheld device that scans your teeth and gums and produces a high-resolution, three-dimensional model of your mouth. Projected onto a chairside monitor, the impression allows for more accurate and precise fabrication to ensure a comfortable and longer-lasting fit.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
Complex dental procedures like dental implant placement or root canal treatment require careful planning. Ensuring each step of the process is completed successfully is essential. This is why we use our CT/Cone Beam Scanner to capture high-resolution images of your facial structures. In seconds, this rotating machine will generate a 3D model of your teeth, jaws, bones, head, neck, and other intricate details, allowing for a complete analysis so that precise treatment planning can occur.
Soft Tissue Laser
While scalpels and sutures still exist and are used in dental practices around the world, laser dentistry is quickly becoming a popular and integrated option in many offices. With the help of our soft tissue laser, we can remove unnecessary tissues to create more balanced and beautiful gumlines as well as assist in brightening smiles and eliminating bacteria. Using no heat or vibration, the laser reduces the chance of infection while also minimizing bleeding and swelling for a faster recovery.
Intraoral Camera
This device will show you what is going on inside your mouth as we perform an examination. A chairside monitor will project the same image our dentists see, allowing you to better understand the severity of problem areas and why certain treatment is required. This unique device allows for quicker diagnoses and ultimately, faster results.
DIAGNOdent Cavity Detection
Instead of waiting for a cavity to form and receiving a dental filling, we can pinpoint the earliest signs of decay with our DIAGNOdent Cavity Detection system. Capable of locating even the smallest areas of thinning, we can work quickly to reverse the spread with regular professional cleanings, fluoride treatment, and good oral hygiene habits at home.
